Ultimate Frisbee - Ultimate Frisbee Fall Season Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact team sport. It is a fun and exciting sport that blends the athleticism of soccer, the strategy and throwing/catching skills of football, and the teamwork of basketball. The game is played by throwing the disc (frisbee) to a teammate and once the disc is caught, that player must must stop and throw to another teammate. You score a point if you catch the disc in the end zone. Interceptions, incomplete passes, and passes out of bounds are turnovers. The sport was invented in the late 1960's and is now played in more than 42 countries. In 2012, there were 5.1 million ultimate players in the US. Ultimate is a life-long sport and there are many opportunities to play in college and as an adult.In Westborough, the Recreation Department sponsors a middle school (grades 5-8) team and a high school (grades 9-12) team. Both teams practice in the spring and fall seasons and compete against other towns in the area. Both teams welcome boys and girls and are open to beginners.

Zumbini - Zumbini with a Caretaker WHAT IS ZUMBINI:
Zumbini is an inclusive early childhood education program for children ages 0-5. Created by Zumba and BabyFirst, our program uses music and movement to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skill development for the children, all while creating the ultimate bonding experience for them and their caregivers. During this 45-minute session, we will use Latin-Fusion music to explore elements of dance and music. Each child will have access to instruments such as Bongos, Boom Whackers, Rhythm Sticks, and Scarves!
YOUR ZUMBINI INSTRUCTOR:
Your instructor for this session will be Michelle Lirange. Michelle has worked in both Early Childhood and Education throughout her life. Most recently she worked for the Worcester Public Schools as a Wraparound Coordinator. After having her son, she realized the need for opportunities for her young child to play, explore, and engage with not only her but other children. Zumbini is the perfect opportunity for both, so she took the time to become a certified Zumbini Instructor. She is excited to lead this class!

On a mission to redefine kid food; Kids’ Test Kitchen’s enthusiastic Facilitators get eaters of all ages and abilities, cooking, tasting, and thinking about healthy ingredients!Kids’ Test Kitchen presents kids the opportunity to explore new or familiar foods in their raw, unmanipulated state. Then, working as a team, they’ll slice, dice, peel, measure, and cook until they’ve prepared the finished dish. Class closes with an opportunity to taste the result of their hard work. Students receive a printed recipe card and the focal ingredient - or a sample of the finished dish - so they can show off what they learned!Even the most reluctant eaters enjoy Kids’ Test Kitchen, where participation isencouraged, and the choice to taste is always one’s own.Lessons are planned to celebrate seasonal produce, whole grains, and legumes.Yes – join us again! Ultimate Frisbee - Ultimate Frisbee Fall Season Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact team sport. It is a fun and exciting sport that blends the athleticism of soccer, the strategy and throwing/catching skills of football, and the teamwork of basketball. The game is played by throwing the disc (frisbee) to a teammate and once the disc is caught, that player must must stop and throw to another teammate. You score a point if you catch the disc in the end zone. Interceptions, incomplete passes, and passes out of bounds are turnovers. The sport was invented in the late 1960's and is now played in more than 42 countries. In 2012, there were 5.1 million ultimate players in the US. Ultimate is a life-long sport and there are many opportunities to play in college and as an adult.In Westborough, the Recreation Department sponsors a middle school (grades 5-8) team and a high school (grades 9-12) team. Both teams practice in the spring and fall seasons and compete against other towns in the area. Both teams welcome boys and girls and are open to beginners.

Zumbini - Zumbini with a Caretaker WHAT IS ZUMBINI:
Zumbini is an inclusive early childhood education program for children ages 0-5. Created by Zumba and BabyFirst, our program uses music and movement to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skill development for the children, all while creating the ultimate bonding experience for them and their caregivers. During this 45-minute session, we will use Latin-Fusion music to explore elements of dance and music. Each child will have access to instruments such as Bongos, Boom Whackers, Rhythm Sticks, and Scarves!
YOUR ZUMBINI INSTRUCTOR:
Your instructor for this session will be Michelle Lirange. Michelle has worked in both Early Childhood and Education throughout her life. Most recently she worked for the Worcester Public Schools as a Wraparound Coordinator. After having her son, she realized the need for opportunities for her young child to play, explore, and engage with not only her but other children. Zumbini is the perfect opportunity for both, so she took the time to become a certified Zumbini Instructor. She is excited to lead this class!

Pickleball Lessons through Westborough Recreation - Advanced Beginner Lessons w/ Caryn (Fall 1) Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country and the demand to learn the sport is growing in New England. Pickleball is attractive because it is easy to play at any age or skill level and requires minimal instruction to be able to play a game and have fun. Unless reserved by the recreation department to run pickleball classes, the Lyman street pickleball courts are always open for public use.

Ultimate Frisbee - Ultimate Frisbee Fall Season Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact team sport. It is a fun and exciting sport that blends the athleticism of soccer, the strategy and throwing/catching skills of football, and the teamwork of basketball. The game is played by throwing the disc (frisbee) to a teammate and once the disc is caught, that player must must stop and throw to another teammate. You score a point if you catch the disc in the end zone. Interceptions, incomplete passes, and passes out of bounds are turnovers. The sport was invented in the late 1960's and is now played in more than 42 countries. In 2012, there were 5.1 million ultimate players in the US. Ultimate is a life-long sport and there are many opportunities to play in college and as an adult.In Westborough, the Recreation Department sponsors a middle school (grades 5-8) team and a high school (grades 9-12) team. Both teams practice in the spring and fall seasons and compete against other towns in the area. Both teams welcome boys and girls and are open to beginners.
