Basketball: Youth 2021-22 • Register • View Cart •

Programs are offered for Grades Pre-K-12, boys and girls.  Travel players are encouraged to play Rec basketball as well. Slight  variations between each program are listed below.  Registration for all basketball programs will open Tuesday, Sept 7th at 8am. Some programs may fill!  Westboro Rec is always looking for   volunteer coaches.  Please let us know if you’re interested when filling out the online registration. In case of inclement weather, all cancellations will be posted on www.westbororec.com . If school is cancelled, rec basketball will be cancelled!
 



 

Pre - K / K basketball details
  • This co-ed program is a chance to learn the basics of the game thru dribbling, passing and shooting drills. Parents must stay and will be participating with their child! Participants will receive a shirt and end of the year medal along with participating in a varsity halftime show! Limited spots available.
  • Saturdays, Feb 26—Mar 26
  • Choose 1 time
  • 8:00—8:45am, 9:00—9:45am
  • Armstrong Gym
  • PRE—K/K (must be a current Kindergartener or entering Kindergarten in Fall 2022)
  • $80 (Save $10 if you register before 1/21)

Grade 3-6 Information
Grades 3—6: Separate boys and girls teams. All in-town play. One practice/one game per week, practice night and time TBD at coach's meeting.
$100 (SAVE $10 IF YOU REGISTER BEFORE OCT 2)
(includes team shirt) (Must register by Oct 29 at 10am; NO EXCEPTIONS)

Game times subject to slight changes based on team numbers at each level
3rd Grade Boys - Saturday (between 10am-12pm)
4th Grade Boys - Saturday (between 8am-10am)
3rd/4th Grade Girls - Friday (between 6pm-8:30pm)
5th Grade Boys - Friday (between 6pm-9pm)
6th Grade Boys - Saturday (between 2pm-5pm)
5th/6th Grade Girls - Thursdays (between 6pm-8:30pm)

Coach's Meeting Draft is scheduled for 10/30, time and location TBD.

Grade 7-8 Information
Grades 7—8 : Separate boys and girls teams, for players not on the middle school team. 7/8 Grade girls league will play out of town teams in Northborough, Grafton, Southborough and/or Hopkinton!! Boys will play all games at Gibbons. One practice/one game per week, practice night and time TBD.
$100 (includes team shirt)
(Must register by November 26 at 10am; only exception is those who are cut from school team)

7-8 Boys Games Held Saturday 8am-1pm

Coach's Meeting Draft is TBD, based on tryouts for the school teams.

Grade 9-12 Information
Grades 9—12 : Separate boys and girls teams, for players not on the high school team. One of the most exciting leagues in Westborough! Last year 16 boys teams battled for the title! Championship game televised and broadcast on Westborough TV!! One practice/one game per week, practice night and time TBD.
$110 (includes reversible jersey)
(Must register by November 29 at 10am; only exception is those who are cut from school team

Games will be held Sundays 9am-2pm and Monday nights

Coach's Meeting Draft is TBD, based on tryouts for the school teams.
