Pickleball Court Policy

It has come to our attention that some individuals have been disregarding the established policies for the Nelson Ball pickleball courts. This memo serves as a clear reminder of the rules in place to ensure fair and respectful use of the courts by all community members.

Pickleball Court Policies:
1. Court Access: All courts operate on a first come, first serve basis.

2. Court Reservations:
Courts are only reserved for Westborough Recreation Department-sanctioned events or programs.
No other reservations are recognized. This includes scheduling through third-party websites or apps. While the Nelson Ball courts may appear on these platforms, the Recreation Department has no affiliation with them and does not honor any reservations made through those systems.

3. Senior Play Times:
Courts 1–6 are designated for Senior Play on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
During these hours, Courts 7 and 8 remain open to the public on a first-come, first serve basis.

4. Respectful Use of Courts:
No individual or group has the authority to demand others vacate or move from a court for personal convenience.
Comments or suggestions about another player’s skill level or when they should play are not appropriate and will not be tolerated.

5. Residency Requirement:
Courts are open for use by Westborough residents only, on a first come, first serve.
Random residency checks will be done by the Recreation Department.

Failure to adhere to these policies will result in being banned from the courts.

We appreciate your cooperation in following these guidelines to maintain a positive and inclusive environment for all players.

Thank you,
Westborough Recreation Department
