Identifying Wildlife Using Apps
Do you ever notice interesting plants, animals, insects, or birds, and wish you knew what they were? Field guide books are still a great way to identify native creatures, but phone apps are becoming increasingly popular. On this walk, led by WCLT’s Sharon Dankwardt, we’ll discuss the pros and cons of using apps, and learn how to use some of the most popular apps to identify practically any native creature you can find!

Birding by Ear, Presented by Martha Gach, PhD
Learn all about birdsong in this fascinating presentation by Martha Gach, PhD, Conservation Coordinator and Regional Education Manager at Mass Audubon’s Broad Meadow Brook Wildlife Sanctuary. Why do birds sing, and when is the best time to hear them? How can we identify birds by their song? You’ll come away with an increased appreciation for the sounds of the season!

Westborough Senior Center

Volunteer with the Senior Center!
The Senior Center is always looking for volunteers for their Meals on Wheels program and Medical Rides program. Interested parties should contact MaryEllen at the Senior Center, mcibelli@westboroughma.gov or call at 508-366-3000.
Events/Programs
This is a short list of what the Senior Center offers on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. For complete details and current offerings please reach out to the Senior Center directly at 508-366-3000 or visit their website.
Bagels with the Selectboard. A member of the selectboard visits the senior center monthly. Visit the Senior Center website for more details.
Lunch is served weekly on Fridays
Westborough Senior Center presents an Adult Respite Program. Saturday Sunshine is a monthly program offering socialization for Westborough Seniors with memory loss and a few hours of respite for their Caregivers. Please contact Stephanie Keane at 508-366-3000 for more information and eligibility.
Exercise activities are offered on weekly/monthly basis. Activities include, gentle yoga, Zumba Gold, strength and balance, Rummikup, Scrabble, shopping trips, Bingo, and more!
