Connect with the world around you while creating and fostering a greater understanding of what youth can do to better understand and support their food system. Together we’ll explore, discuss, and link key areas of environmental stewardship through hands on activities on or around Nourse Farm—(Westborough’s oldest continuously operating farm). Key themes include, but are not limited to: sustainable agriculture, recycling/upcycling/repurposing greenhouse gas emissions/renewable energy, as well as plant-based foods and nutrition.

Eco-Foodie Afternoon
Eco-Foodie Afternoon: Friday, May 19th, 12:30 to 4 PM
Spring is here and the farm is waking up. Come and spend the afternoon with us as we welcome the new farming (and food) season from plant to plate! Eco-Foodies will explore springtime at Nourse Farm and get up close and personal with growing and eating food (and what it takes to make things & people grow). Hands-on activities that reinforce learning by doing (soil testing, seed planting, scavenger hunts, food prep, and so much more farm, fresh fun). Rain or shine so dress appropriately.
This program is recommended for youth ages 9 to 12. Space is limited to 10 participants. Registration includes all adventure materials and an afternoon snack.
