New England Music Academy Classes

Music lessons have never been this much fun!  Students will use keyboards, percussion instruments and various classroom materials to explore all aspects of music.  Classes focus on music form, keyboard discovery, rhythm instruments, singing, pre-music reading activities and for the older classes, music reading activities.  Classes take place at New England Music Academy, 30 Lyman St., Suite 50, Westborough

Music Makers!
  • Music Makers (8 mos-4 years)
  • NEMA’s early childhood music class. Music Makers play, dance, giggle and sing with a parent or caregiver to develop a lifelong love of music. Students use keyboards, rhythm instruments, scarves, parachutes and more to explore the magical world of music! Class size is limited.
  • Summer Session Begins 6/9
  • Tuesdays at 4:30, 30 minute class

Intro to Pre-Beginner Group Music Classes
  • So much more than music and movement or group piano! This fun, academic music class includes keyboard, beginning theory, singing, ensemble playing and ear training. Parents or guardians get to learn right alongside their student. No siblings please. Students should have a keyboard for practice at home. Class size is limited.

  • Saturdays at 12:30, 45 minute class
  • 6-week session (no class 4/25)
  • Summer Session Begins 7/7
  • Tuesday at 5:15, 45 minute class
  • 6-week session (no class 6/30)

Intro to Older Beginner Music Classes (6-8 years)
  • Same concepts, different curriculum, for older our beginners! This fun, academic music class includes keyboard, beginning theory, singing, ensemble playing and ear training. Again, parents or guardians get to learn right alongside their student. No siblings please. Students should have a keyboard for practice at home. Class size is limited.

Intro to Accelerated Piano Program (8 years +)
  • Imagine eliminating the hassle of daily piano practice! Piano students new to NEMA spend an hour in class with the teacher working independently through their own books, at their own pace. Because of the longer time (one hour) with the teacher, students accelerate quickly through their books. This program is for both beginners and non-beginners alike and fills very quickly! Students must be able to read and work independently. This introductory class is open to new students and cannot be repeated. Parents are not required to attend but are welcome to observe. Class size is limited.

  • Thursdays at 7:00, 1-hour class

  • Wednesday at 6:00 1-hour class

Summer Music Series (Non-Beginner piano students 6-9 years old)
  • It’s a fact, music skills are lost during the summer months. Students in piano for at least one year work in their own books at their own level for 30 minutes. Then the class comes together for 30 minutes of team building theory games. Your student’s music accomplishments will stay strong, they’ll have tons of fun and fun next fall they’ll be on top of their game, ready to go! Parents are not required to attend but are welcome to observe. Class size is limited.

  • Wednesday at 4:00 1-hour class
  • Wednesday at 5:00, 1-hour class
  • 6-week session (no class 6/29)
