Ski & Snowboard Program at Wachusett Mountain

Lessons and open skiing or snowboarding. Held at Wachusett Mountain in Princeton, MA. Tuesdays from 3:00-7:45pm.  Transportation is by motor coach bus, providing underneath storage for those bringing their own equipment. We depart Gibbons Middle School by 3:00pm and stop at Westborough High School for pick up and depart the High School by approx. 3:15pm. We arrive back at Gibbons Middle School by 7:45pm - Drop off is ONLY at Gibbons Middle School! 

Online Registration Starts Monday, Nov. 2nd at 8:00am.  This is a very popular program and will fill! 

Important Registration Information: You are only registering and paying for a bus trip through Westborough Recreation.  After registering with us, you must pay online at www.wachusett.com/schoolgroups  for lift ticket, lessons and/or rentals.

Chaperones: Chaperones are necessary in order for this program to run. Please consider helping! Chaperones will receive a FREE Lift Badge, Rentals (if needed) and Lessons for the evening they chaperone.  For those that Chaperon 3 or more weeks, Wachusett Mtn offers Two FREE ski/ride weekends to say thank you for helping. There is one in December and the other in March.  For additional information please contact our office, or register as a chaperone below. 

Refunds: Once registered, there are NO CASH REFUNDS.  To withdraw from the program, you must present your student badge along with your request in writing to Wachusett Mtn Group Sales. You will be issued a transferable credit on sessions not attended. There is a $10 clerical fee for changes made after the application is received by Wachusett.  Requests for bus refunds (less $25) can be done through the Rec. Dept. Bus refunds not available for missed lessons or within one week of program start

Absences:  If you miss a week, you will be given a transferable $18 credit valid during the 2019-20 season to be used for lift tickets, equipment rental or lessons.

Cancellations due to weather conditions:  cancellations of sessions may cause the program to run past February Vacation. Make-ups are not held during the vacation week. Extra days will be scheduled if a session has to be cancelled. If we cancel (due to weather) and Wachusett is open, the make ups for that session may not include lessons. If Wachusett Mountain cannot meet their obligation, transferable credit memos for use at Wachusett will be given based on a per day cost.

PARTICIPANTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING SKI/BOARD EQUIPMENT ON THE SCHOOL BUS IN THE MORNING. Details on where equipment will be stored for Middle School have not been clarified yet due to the construction at the school. We will notify you about ski equipment storage as soon as possible. High School students will be able to store equipment at their school as well. Johanna DiCarlo, Athletic Director, will show students where to put equipment. Mark all equipment with your name and town. The Recreation and School Depts are not responsible for equipment that is lost/stolen.

• We are limiting the numbers significantly due to bus COVID protocols to be in line with the schools. Max is 27. They will be seated in alternating seats, one in each row, in alignment with school bussing.
• We will do a self-health certification for each student before they get on the bus.
• There will be no parent chaperones this year, it will be staffed by someone in the Rec Department.
• This program will be open to only Gibbons students this year, and we will not be utilizing the shed. Parents will have to drop equipment off by 3 pm the latest at the Gibbons back parking lot.
