Taekwondo, a Korean martial art is taught utilizing a fun, safe, family-focused method designed for a wide range of skill levels. This class teaches traditional Taekwondo and focuses on empowering students to reach their full potential through self-disciplined, hard work! Improve physical abilities such as strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, and coordination; as well as mental attributes such as confidence, focus, self-control, and willpower. We challenge our students to think critically and open their minds to change. A typical class is run with our instructors leading the group through a series of warm-ups and stretches, followed by drills that focus on development of balance and techniques. All participants interested in improving their health, well-being and broadening their horizons are welcome. Instructors have over 35 years experience teaching, competing, and coaching worldwide. Locally born and raised 7th Degree Certified Black Belt. Honorary Professor of Taekwondo at the world prestigious Korea National Sports University. Former National Champion. USA Taekwondo and AAU Certified Coach.
Uniform is provided.
You may register for this program through our department ONE time only. Registration is available to neighboring towns as well.
Ages 3-5: This class is designed with our little students in mind and teaches the basic stances, develops coordination and furthers control and balance but most of all confidence! Our Little Tigers Program targets their particular stage of development in a manner that keeps them entertained while at the same time building skills that set them up for success.Participants will gain confidence, attention span and respect for others in a positive, fun environment.
Ages 6 -9: Tae Kwon Do is a beautiful and highly skilled art. Develop control, balance and power through the practice of Tae Kwon Do forms and one-step sparring. As participants mature in the art, they gain more than the ability to kick and punch. With improved coordination and reflexes, increased self-confidence, self-discipline and physical conditioning. Students gain greater respect for themselves, their fellow students and people in society as a whole.
Ages 10-13. Ten to fourteen-year olds are the smartest students in the school. Yes, they are smarter than most adults! They are also physically competent and can excel in most physical challenges that are presented to them. Our Cadet program is targeted at keeping them emotionally and mentally driven to the tasks at hand. The solution we found is to provide them with their own program that targets their stage of development in a manner that nurtures their social and emotional instability while at the same time building skills that set them up for success. With that said a structured program introducing extreme skill-based training in Martial Arts has proven to be very successful.
Ages 13 & Up.
Adults and teens benefit from a full body workout while learning self-defense techniques. Classes focus on increasing strength, flexibility, and endurance, while teaching proper technique. Whether your goal is to compete on a national level, to improve your physical conditioning or just to relieve stress, Evolution Martial Arts will help you achieve your goal.
